Requirements 

Eligibility Requirements

9 - 18 year old female athlete  

To qualify for our hockey scholarship program, applicants must:

  1. Be an active female player – Must be registered with a recognized ice hockey program, travel team, or league.

  2. Demonstrate financial need – Provide documentation (e.g., tax return, pay stub, or a written statement of financial hardship).

  3. Maintain good academic standing – Must meet a minimum GPA (e.g., 2.5 or higher) or provide proof of satisfactory progress in school.

  4. Exhibit strong commitment to hockey – Demonstrate regular participation in practices, games, or development programs.

  5. Display good sportsmanship – Must uphold positive conduct on and off the ice.

  6. Submit a coach recommendation – A brief letter from a coach or program director supporting the athlete’s dedication and character.

  7. Complete the application – Submit the scholarship application form with all required documents by the deadline.

 

How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply for our hockey scholarship program:

  1. Complete the Application Form

    • Fill out the online or paper scholarship application form with accurate information.

  2. Provide Proof of Financial Need

    • Submit documentation such as a recent tax return, pay stub, or a written statement explaining financial hardship.

  3. Submit Academic Verification

    • Provide a recent report card or school transcript to verify academic standing (if applicable).

  4. Obtain a Coach Recommendation

    • Include a brief letter of recommendation from a coach or program director supporting the athlete’s dedication and character.

  5. Attach Supporting Documents

    • Include any additional materials (e.g., proof of registration in a hockey program or league).

  6. Submit Before the Deadline

    • Ensure your application and all required documents are submitted by the posted deadline. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered.

  7. Wait for Review and Notification

    • Applications will be reviewed by our scholarship committee. Award decisions will be communicated via email.

Common Scholarship Payment Methods

  1. Direct Payment to the Organization or Program 

The scholarship funds are paid directly to the hockey program, camp, or league.

  • This ensures the money is used for its intended purpose (e.g., registration fees, travel team costs).
